The vineyard celebrated its 10 year anniversary and the owners wanted to overhaul the website so that it worked better for the owners, employees and customers. As a brick and mortar vineyards and tasting room it catered to the locals who enjoyed the beautiful view and laid back atmosphere. The worldly owners turned their old family orchard and turned it into a vineyard that reflected their passion for living.
The site needed to capture the many sides of the vineyard and winery (amazing views, inhouse wine tasting, online sales, wedding venue, weekly entertainment and more). It had to be functional and appealing to their current clients and attract new clients. They also needed to be able to easily maintain event changes. Above all it had to reflect their vision and philosophy of quality of life.
There was a very wide target audience. They needed the site to appeal to their current customers as well as reach a wider demographic for more potential customers, brides, music fans, and so on.
The vineyard's staff included many local college students so the learning curve needed to be very low.
They had totally different activities categorized as "events" (rental space, their own events and festivals, and weekly music events). These things needed their own identity to be clear to the audience.
Keep the current customers, attract others, engage and share.
